Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial)
-
Chronic urticaria
-
Allergic conjunctivitis
-
Atopic dermatitis (adjunct)
-
Mild asthma with allergic component
-
Allergy-related nasal and skin symptoms unresponsive to monotherapy
Mechanism of Action
🔹 Bilastine (20 mg):
-
Selectively blocks H1 histamine receptors
-
Rapid onset and long-lasting (24-hour) anti-allergic action
-
Non-sedating with minimal CNS penetration
🔹 Montelukast (10 mg):
-
Inhibits cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1)
-
Prevents leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction, mucus secretion, and inflammation
-
Useful in allergic rhinitis and asthma
The combination ensures dual-pathway control:
-
Histamine blockade (immediate-phase allergic response)
-
Leukotriene suppression (late-phase allergic inflammation)
